Rev Up for Reading was hosted at the Sherman Public Library in Sherman, TX, bringing the community together for a day of cars and giving back. The event featured 32 vehicles in attendance and exceeded its goal of 500 books, collecting a total of 642 books for the library along with $65 in cash donations.
This effort was supported by community drop-off locations including Garner’s Games, Glitch’s Arcade, One Grand Centre, LLC, Pen and Page Weathered Books, Red River 4x4, Sherman Medical Center, and Southwest Management.
Awards were presented in four categories, including Best Jeep (Super Girl), Best Mustang (Red 2007 GT), Kids’/People’s Choice (Hello Kitty Jeep), and the Chicas Bonitas Award (Rivas Chevrolet). Chicas Bonitas Car Club sponsored the trophies for the event, and First United Bank provided free water for attendees.
